Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field from an accredited college or university with a graduation date between December 2026 - June 2027.
  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  • Previous work or classroom experience in one or more of the following: Investment Banking, Equity Research, Private Equity, and/or Corporate Development.
  • Employer immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Private Debt & Equity internship and/or relevant project experience.
  • A broad knowledge of investments and an understanding of economic forces affecting a wide range of industries.
  • Proficiency in accounting and strong financial modeling skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • High degree of self-motivation, passion, and a drive to learn.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate direct private equity and debt investment opportunities across a broad range of industries.
  • Assist in all aspects of the transaction, including analyzing, modeling, and monitoring investments.
  • Develop cash flow models, investment theses, and various risk analyses.
  • Coordinate and communicate directly with corporate executives.
  • Present investment opportunities directly to the senior members of Northwestern Mutual Capital.
