As an Investment Advisor Sr. within PNC's Planned Giving group of the Institutional Asset Management organization, you will be based within the PNC footprint. The Planned Giving Investment Advisor (PGIA) will manage a book of business comprised of a broad spectrum of charitable organization clients. The PNC Planned Giving clients are geographically located across the nation, and the planned giving team services all organizations regardless of geographic location. The charitable organization accounts serviced by the Planned Giving (PG) group includes Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Pooled Income funds and Donor Advised Funds. With PNC as Investment Manager and in some cases Trustee on these accounts, the IA is responsible for all Investment related duties and responsibilities assigned to PNC. The IA takes the lead in preparing annual meeting materials, as well as periodic performance reporting which is usually produced quarterly for primary clients. Working closely with the rest of the PG team, the wealth of data maintained for each client’s program is used to develop tailored recommendations for each account in the relationship. Comfort with presenting subject matter to large groups and engaging in the prospecting and sales process is expected. Initially, the new PGIA will work closely with other PGIAs gaining knowledge of the business through hands on management of investments and all components of the role. Strong understanding of PNC’s investment philosophy, practices and systems, as well as mid - advanced excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint software usage is essential. Relationships of appropriate level will be assigned as mastery of the subject matter is demonstrated. There is a high expectation for travel (50%) in this role. The ideal candidate will have experience with charitable gift annuities and charitable trusts, as well as estate asset allocation experience. CFA credentials are preferred, but not required. This is a remote position. Work may be performed from a quiet, confidential space in a home location, approved by PNC. This position may not be available in all geographic locations. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.

Requirements

  • Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree.
  • Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable.
  • Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years.
  • Specific certifications are often required.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manages accounts in accordance with investment objectives that have been developed with the client.
  • Depending on line of business, may provide specialized advice and partnership with specialists supporting the portfolio investment strategy, objectives, and health of the strategy.
  • Responsible for delivering the PNC investment experience to clients, providing actionable advice, market insight and reporting on investment results.
  • Maintains expert level knowledge of complex investment and asset management strategies.
  • Responsible for maintaining and growing assets under management.
  • Additionally supports and may lead the sales efforts of the business through the introduction and expansion of financial services to the client.
  • Executes risk management practices through the adherence to PNC's policies and procedures.
  • May help provide direction to investment professionals.
