About The Position

As an Investment Accounting Analyst at our Warren, New Jersey headquarters, you'll play a vital role in supporting key aspects of investment accounting, reporting, and analysis. This hybrid position gives you the flexibility to work three days in the office and two remotely.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent degree) in accounting.
• This position is open to business graduates and others who have accounting experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly proficient with Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of PAM and Bloomberg a plus.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Oracle a plus.
• Insurance/reinsurance industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accounting and reporting of investments on a U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory basis.
• Participate in the monthly and quarterly investment close process.
• Preparation of various U.S. statutory investment schedules.
• Preparation of U.S. GAAP and SEC investment disclosures (10-Q, 10-K).
• Assist with local reporting of foreign branches and subsidiaries.
• Coordinate with financial reporting and investment management teams.
• Preparation of exhibits and schedules to demonstrate establishment and maintenance of internal controls.
• Providing monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses along with account reconciliations.
• Participation in ad-hoc analyses and strategic projects determined by the needs of senior management.
