About The Position

As an Investment Accountant at ADP, you will be responsible for managing client and corporate funds, providing essential back-office investment and accounting support. This role involves preparing daily investment positions, executing trade settlements, assisting in the month-end close process, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will work closely with portfolio managers and various stakeholders to maintain financial integrity and support the overall investment operations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in an Investment Accountant or similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Licensed CPA or working towards a CPA license is preferred.
  • Experience with investment accounting systems, particularly Portia, Bloomberg, Dynamics, and Hyperion.
  • Strong internal controls mindset and ability to identify control gaps.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • High degree of professionalism and accountability.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical/problem resolution skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills.

  • Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily investment or borrowing positions for U.S., Canadian, and U.K. portfolios averaging about $40B.
  • Communicate updates regarding cash transfers from client funds activity to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure daily trade settlements with custodian banks and monitor the settlement process.
  • Initiate and approve wire transfers using bank online portals.
  • Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Conduct cash reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in coupon payments.
  • Input invoices into the accounts payable system and monitor expense trends.
  • Prepare custody reconciliations and research discrepancies.
  • Coordinate investment account opening applications with legal and investment counterparties.
  • Maintain files of board minutes and broker/legal documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual tax packages and provide information for auditors.
  • Act as a backup for other associates' duties as needed.
  • Prepare weekly investment dashboards for senior executives.
  • Update the share repurchase database.
