About The Position

You will serve as an Investigator in the Secretary Department of the Navy of OFFNAVINSGEN WASHINGTON DC. This position involves conducting internal and/or external investigations, inquiries, and audits, protecting personal and proprietary information, and preparing clear and logical investigative reports.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Ability to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Freedom of Information and Privacy Act.
  • Experience evaluating the merit and validity of Hotline or MWBR complaints.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal and/or external investigations, inquiries, and audits.
  • Protect personal, private, controlled unclassified, and proprietary information.
  • Lead or work independently on investigations.
  • Utilize interview and interrogation techniques to assess suspects, subjects, complainants, witnesses, and sources.
  • Prepare clear, logical, impartial, and properly documented investigative reports.
