About The Position
The position involves responsibilities related to the daily intake of juvenile case filings, data entry, setting court dockets, answering telephones, setting appointments, and assisting the Judge on court days. The role also includes providing a liaison between the school district and the court, assisting truancy officers, making personal visits to schools, teaching youth leadership and parenting classes, and helping families find available community resources. Additionally, the position requires serving as a Spanish interpreter when needed. Investigative duties include following up on criminal offenses, preparing affidavits, taking statements, preparing reports, and assisting in court proceedings. The role requires conducting follow-up investigations, preparing cases for various legal entities, and maintaining communication with crime victims and witnesses.
