Department: Corrections Grade: 170 Salary: $22.29/hour Job Duties: R esponsible for the investigation of Federal and State statutes, and Jackson County and various municipal ordinances; performs a full range of professional, criminal, and internal investigations, regarding alleged violations of department policy involving staff, inmates, volunteers, etc I nvestigates and documents incidents which may leave the department or Jackson County in a position of potential liability Responds t o all allegations and/or complaints originating from outside the department regarding enforcement of policy and procedure If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Two years of experience in corrections or law enforcement, with an emphasis on conducting extensive investigations.
  • Must have and maintain valid Missouri or Kansas Driver’s License.
  • Certified in Criminal Investigations and Administrative Investigations.
  • Must possess/maintain an active telephone in his/her residence.
  • Must submit to and pass a police background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • National Incident Management System (NIMS) Certification preferred

Responsibilities
