About The Position

Fox 2 News in St. Louis (DMA 24) is hiring an experienced Investigative Reporter to join our award-winning team. The ideal candidate for this role is relentlessly curious, self-motivated, organized, and adaptable. They will pitch and turn short- and long-term investigations and follow-ups, often managing multiple ongoing stories simultaneously. Gather information about events through research, interviews, or experience. Pitch stories that are relevant and impactful to the local community. Work closely with news and digital managers to ensure journalistic and legal standards are met. Actively engage across all digital and social media platforms to build brand recognition and enhance storytelling. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven track record of developing and sustaining sources.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Dynamic on-air presence with conversational, engaging delivery and the ability to ad lib.
• Skilled in data analysis, public information requests, backgrounding, interviewing, and research.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Flexibility to work any shift.
