About The Position

The Investment Casting Layout Technician position at Hitchiner Manufacturing Co., Inc. involves providing support to production departments by inspecting and calibrating castings and related equipment used in the investment casting process. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years in an inspection role or related experience for Grade 7.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• General mathematics skills including basic algebra and introduction to trigonometry.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensional Tolerance (GD&T) and blueprint reading.

Nice To Haves

• CNC experience is a plus.
• Experience with metrology methods and calibration software.
• Advanced computer skills including data management and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to production departments by inspecting and calibrating castings, wax dies, spreaders, gages, jigs, and fixtures.
• Adhere to all SPI and other specifications to maintain an auditable and certifiable system.
• Set up, program, and operate machines such as CMM, height master, and vision systems.
• Maintain tools of the trade as required by the job.
• Complete all paperwork associated with the job and maintain a clean working environment.
• Inform supervisors about problems that occur and handle hazardous waste as required.
