A Brief Overview The Inventory Technician performs a variety of duties related to the inventory, distribution and receiving of supplies in Med/Surg units. Daily communication with clinical staff is required for any issues that may arise.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of one year inventory experience
• Basic computer skills
• Professional communication skills required
• Medium-Heavy Physical Demand

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare inventory experience
• Shipping and receiving experience

Responsibilities

• Inventory med/surg units according to par levels and uploaded scanners, rotated stock, reviewed expiration dates and kept supplies in orderly condition.
• Provide lost charge reports to department directors or designee daily.
• Demonstrate accuracy in data entry, such as keeping inventory worksheets correct by updating locations, min/max par levels.
• Label all chargeable and non-chargeable supply bins with item numbers and description of product.
• Perform receiving functions assuring that all supplies are delivered in a timely manner and packing slips are signed.
• Utilize, load and unloads distribution vehicles appropriately.
• Prepare product returns, including items to be reprocessed.
• Perform physical inventory/cycle counts in designated time frame.
• Communicate with clinical staff regarding supply needs, backorders, stock outs, storage, changes in par level, stat calls, etc.
