This role works in a production area processing poultry product(s). It requires working with live poultry, raw and/or cooked products. Typical assignments may include live hang, evisceration, debone, cut up, marinating, stack off, Polybag, Retail, Warehouse and more. Usually works five to six days a week; overtime will be required based on production needs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • Ability to learn/ perform all general labor duties
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Able to pass SVO pre-employment/post offer checks
  • Must have eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to work all assigned shifts, including overtime and some weekends

  • Related experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate production inventory with delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory rotation.
  • Create bills of lading for all outbound orders shipped.
  • Coordinate all activities involving outbound carrier traffic at SVO Plant including but not limited to: Checking in carriers
  • Responsible for completing and maintaining all Logistics/Shipping records and documents.
  • Ensure all SSOP’s are completed for each area of responsibility.
  • Communication with vendors and customers is needed.
  • Assist all logistics operations when required.
  • Ability to read and understand English, and can identify items on paperwork including, but not limited to customer orders, bills of lading, manifests, packing lists, stock receipts, freight bills, and customer labels.
  • Communicates verbally, in writing, and telephone etiquette, with supervisors, associates, truck drivers, customers and forklift operators.
  • Ability to analyze and calculate data using basic math skills. (i.e., subtraction, addition, multiplication, division)
  • Enter data using keyboard, Ability to operate office equipment (i.e., Fax machine, copier, 10 key calculator)
  • Accurate completion of paperwork with neatness and timeliness
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Check discrepancies between inbound shipments and outbound shipping manifests.
  • Perform physical inventory counts in freezer as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
