Requirements
- Possess a sense of urgency and a proactive customer service philosophy.
- Have good oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in inventory management.
- Able to perform moderate to heavy lifting
- High School diploma required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with surgical supplies preferred.
- Associates Degree in Business preferred
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining required par levels of implants and surgical supplies for Ambulatory Surgery Center.
- Assists departmental leadership in collaborating with surgical and supply chain staff to maintain programs and processes designed to ensure compliance of service delivery standards.
- Acts as a liaison in effectively communicating with the surgical team and stakeholders.
- Assist in managing the flow of surgical supplies; utilizing electronic inventory systems.
- Check inventory levels of surgical supplies in designated storage areas and report findings to the supervisor
- Receive shipments of surgical supplies according to the vendor’s packing slip and report discrepancies to the supervisor
- Place new shipments of surgical supplies in their designated storage area
- Restock surgical supplies, according to established par levels
- Dispose of all waste generated (primarily cardboard boxes)
- Utilize Vocera by responding and addressing the client’s needs/concerns in a timely fashion
