Requirements

  • Possess a sense of urgency and a proactive customer service philosophy.
  • Have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Able to perform moderate to heavy lifting
  • High School diploma required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with surgical supplies preferred.
  • Associates Degree in Business preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining required par levels of implants and surgical supplies for Ambulatory Surgery Center.
  • Assists departmental leadership in collaborating with surgical and supply chain staff to maintain programs and processes designed to ensure compliance of service delivery standards.
  • Acts as a liaison in effectively communicating with the surgical team and stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing the flow of surgical supplies; utilizing electronic inventory systems.
  • Check inventory levels of surgical supplies in designated storage areas and report findings to the supervisor
  • Receive shipments of surgical supplies according to the vendor’s packing slip and report discrepancies to the supervisor
  • Place new shipments of surgical supplies in their designated storage area
  • Restock surgical supplies, according to established par levels
  • Dispose of all waste generated (primarily cardboard boxes)
  • Utilize Vocera by responding and addressing the client’s needs/concerns in a timely fashion
