About The Position
Inventory Technicians are responsible for providing the Astreya user experience. This role encompasses a variety of duties including order tracking, accessories management, managing customer service, hardware and accessory deployment to front line users, conference room maintenance, and behind the scenes user setup. Inventory Technicians play a crucial role in enabling over 70,000 staff around the globe, ensuring that the company is represented positively to clients. This position is an introductory role to IT services, but it is vital for maintaining high standards of service and support. The scope of the role requires following established procedures on routine work and adhering to detailed instructions. Daily responsibilities include on-site inventory and asset management, preventative maintenance of client conference rooms, and e-recycling. The technician ensures that client users have access to equipment that is in good working order and supports a complex, fast-paced environment focused on video conference rooms, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. Inventory Technicians work cooperatively with on-site teammates and are responsible for ensuring audio and visual quality, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and handling requests from meeting attendees. They deploy and recover laptop and desktop images, provide face-to-face customer support for on-site client users, and utilize ticketing systems to report work accomplishments and track Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Additionally, they assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and workflow using Inventory Data management software, collaborate with other technicians and clients to install hardware, and ensure thorough resolution of computer issues. Timely responses to IT questions from client users are essential, as is the ability to manage occasionally demanding and stressed client users. The role may also involve contributing to large-scale global projects as needed and performing other duties as assigned.
