About The Position

Manage day-to-day operations of Warehouse. The Inventory Supervisor manages inventory across different areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety. They work with vendors for repairs, manage orders, and coordinate electronics disposal. This position administers, organizes, coordinates, and directs the stores/supplies area within an assigned department. Duties include (but are not limited to) supervising assigned staff, distributing supplies, loading and unloading deliveries, requisitioning, ordering, and expediting purchases, determining work procedures, preparing periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock, compiling stock records in the stockroom and determining accuracy, and generating reports. Uses the Maximo and Waterworks systems to issue, receive, transfer, and create reports for management.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of inventory, storekeeping operations, and purchasing practices, policies, and procedures, inventory control processes, and the operation, adjustment, and maintenance of the equipment operated.
  • Skill in effectively communicating and interacting with management and employees.
  • Ability to shelve, store, and distribute materials, and operate and enter information into a computerized inventory system.
  • Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack.
  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Three (3) years of clerical, stocking, storekeeping operations, or related area and supervisory experience required.
  • Valid Georgia driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Prepares requisitions for equipment and supplies
  • Prepares, reviews, and monitors the purchasing process, which includes handling documents such as specifications, purchase orders, change orders, and receiving reports.
  • Issues, receives, transfers, and creates reports in the Maximo and Waterworks systems.
  • Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock and related problems.
  • Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
  • May make purchasing or resource allocation decisions within organization guidelines.
  • Has formal supervisory authority over workgroup (typically at least 2-3 employees) to include discipline, coaching, performance management, scheduling, training, etc.
  • Loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Conducting inventory counts.
  • Inputting information into the MAXIMO and Waterworks system.
  • Maintaining files for purchases, delivery tickets, and work orders.
  • Receiving, recording, and tagging COA computer equipment.
  • Completing monthly cycle count reports, including corrections and stock reordering.
  • Verifying deliveries, comparing packing slips to purchase orders, and notifying internal customers.
  • Recording receipt of items in the Warehouse Release Logbook.
  • Managing incomplete or overage orders by contacting vendors and arranging returns or adjustments.
  • Providing Weekly Updates Report, as required by management.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
