About The Position

The position involves supervising inventory teams and managing manpower and processes to meet business objectives. The role requires ongoing monitoring of employee compliance and performance, identifying best practices, and addressing issues accordingly. The supervisor will also be responsible for monitoring staff using system tools to meet internal demand changes and supporting the production team through timely delivery of properly allocated products. The supervisor must ensure that target outbound schedules are met by managing staff and prioritizing workloads while adhering to established picking process controls. Additionally, the role involves monitoring WMS exceptions, picking accuracy, and liaising with various departments regarding quality issues and requests. The supervisor must ensure compliance with company policies, maintain an organized work area, conduct daily meetings with the team, and lead the development of direct reports. The position requires continuous improvement of processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs, along with providing management reports as required.

Requirements

  • At least three years' experience in warehouse operations.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • High level of discipline and determination to adhere to process.
  • Ability to effectively follow-up with personnel and handle multiple ongoing projects.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative, adaptable, and able to work with a sense of urgency.
  • Self-starter willing to work flexible hours.
  • Forklift driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise inventory teams, managing manpower and processes to meet the objectives of the business.
  • Ongoing monitoring of employee compliance and performance, identifying best practices and workarounds.
  • Monitor and flex staff using system tools to meet internal demand changes.
  • Support the production team through timely delivery of properly allocated product at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled run time.
  • Hit target outbound schedules by managing staff and prioritizing workloads while following established picking process controls.
  • Monitor WMS exceptions and compliance to identify issues and coach operators.
  • Monitor picking accuracy and improve results through training and follow-up.
  • Liaise with quality, receiving, production, CIC's, scheduling, and shipping regarding quality issues.
  • Monitor the use of all material handling equipment to ensure safe and proper usage.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, including GMP and Food Safety related policies.
  • Maintain and organize work station and inventory area to be audit ready.
  • Conduct daily huddle meetings with the team to discuss goals and productivity expectations.
  • Lead and develop direct reports through coaching and mentoring.
  • Look for ways to improve current processes to gain efficiencies and reduce operational costs.
  • Provide management reports as required daily, weekly, and monthly.
