About The Position

Our client is a US-based online ticket sales business specializing in the acquisition, pricing, and resale of event tickets across major platforms. Success in this business depends on disciplined capital deployment, market timing, and identifying profitable inventory opportunities in a fast-moving secondary market. The team currently includes analysts and buyers responsible for sourcing inventory. The next step is bringing in a strategic operator who can guide purchasing decisions and help optimize capital deployment across the portfolio. We are seeking an Inventory Strategy Lead who will act as the strategic decision-maker behind inventory purchasing and capital allocation. This role goes beyond reporting or analysis. The successful candidate will evaluate market conditions, identify high-probability opportunities, and direct where purchasing capital should be deployed. You will work alongside existing analysts and buyers, helping guide their focus while making high-impact decisions around pricing floors, demand velocity, and risk management. The ideal candidate has experience operating in arbitrage-driven environments such as ticket resale, marketplace trading, sports betting, financial trading, or similar high-frequency decision environments. You have experience operating in markets where timing, pricing spreads, and risk management determine profitability . Rather than simply reporting on data, you use information to make decisive calls on where capital should be deployed . You are comfortable identifying opportunities, managing risk exposure, and helping teams focus on the most profitable plays. Experience with ticket markets is valuable, but candidates from sports betting, marketplace arbitrage, trading, or similar environments may bring equally strong instincts. Inventory purchasing decisions directly determine profitability in the ticket resale market. This role ensures that capital is deployed strategically, buying opportunities are identified early, and purchasing decisions are made with a disciplined risk framework. By guiding analysts and buyers toward the most profitable inventory segments, this role helps the business scale revenue while protecting margins.
