About The Position

The Inventory Specialist at Advance Auto Parts is responsible for managing the HUB operation, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role involves collaboration with the store management team to conduct cycle counts, stock parts, and comply with company policies and procedures. The position requires effective communication and basic math skills, along with the ability to train and develop team members under the direction of the General Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior retail experience, including basic merchandising and inventory management skills.
• Competent in oral and written communications.
• Basic math computation skills.
• Ability to drive a forklift, if certified and applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Certification to operate a forklift.
• Experience in a similar retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Pull and ship HUB orders on time.
• Communicate with servicing store if HUB order can't be filled.
• Complete all parts department cycle counts including OUTS.
• Complete all parts department plan-o-grams.
• Stock all parts department parts in collaboration with store management.
• Complete all parts department callbacks with store management.
• Complete MAXI changes in parts department with store management.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Complete all required training materials and attend scheduled store meetings.
• Train and develop Team Members as directed by the General Manager.
• Coordinate product delivery and maintain inventories under the General Manager's guidance.
• Ensure compliance with established security, customer service, and record-keeping policies.
