About The Position

The Inventory Specialist primary responsibility is to work with the Inventory Manager in keeping track of inventory via cycle counting, variance research, and other related tasks.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Desire to learn and grow professionally.
Ability to react quickly to problems and respond to them accurately and professionally.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to stand/walk for 4 -10 hours daily.
Physical strength to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Ability to operate a computer and calculator.
Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch.
Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
Good organizational skills in order to take charge of organizing inventory and improving the efficiency of the selection and shipping process.

Responsibilities

Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers.
Check accuracy of materials according to the list of materials on the sales invoice.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with salespeople, customers, yard manager and drivers to ensure the timely, accurate delivery of materials to jobsites.
Perform cycle counts, returns processing, and other items under the supervision of inventory manager.
Safely drive trucks and forklifts obeying all traffic laws, wear seatbelt at all times while driving a company truck or forklift.
Follow yard loading and delivery procedures.
Accurately record all merchandise returns on a credit memo. Including the verification of returns brought back to yard by drivers.
Loading of customer merchandise.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
