Your Purpose as a Inventory Specialist: The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing vehicle inventory flow, maintaining lot organization, ensuring proper documentation and imaging of vehicles, and supporting dealership operations. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to adapt to additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to operate manual and automatic vehicles.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Check in vehicles dropped off at the dealership.
  • Follow established procedures for auction vehicles upon arrival.
  • Photograph previous day trade-ins, new-, and used vehicles with an Audi Shawnee Mission plate and bracket.
  • Ensure all required documentation and imaging standards are met.
  • Organize dealership lot to maintain proper flow and presentation.
  • Ensure oldest new vehicles are positioned on the lot appropriately.
  • Maintain a full, organized lot appearance with no gaps and lined up.
  • Move vehicles to the wholesale lot as needed.
  • Drive vehicles through the car wash as required.
  • Coordinate key handoff to appropriate personnel (e.g., shop, service team).
  • Transport vehicles to and from vendors with Director approval.
  • Travel to other Baxter locations to pick up or drop off inventory with Director approval.
  • Assist with vehicle transfers between departments and locations as needed.
  • Support dealership operations with miscellaneous tasks as requested.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support inventory and operational needs.
