About The Position

The Inventory Specialist II supports warehouse and production operations by performing responsibilities across one or more core logistics disciplines, including Distribution, Receiving, and Production Supply (Stock Room). This role is critical to ensuring accurate material movement, inventory integrity, and the timely fulfillment of orders. Working independently within assigned discipline(s), the Inventory Specialist applies experience, judgment, and established warehouse procedures to complete tasks efficiently and accurately. The position requires a solid understanding of inventory control practices, system transaction accuracy, and standard warehouse operations. Depending on assignment, the role may also involve operating material handling equipment as part of daily responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent in skills and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse/distribution environment with a fully implemented Warehouse Management (WM) system.
  • Working knowledge of proper warehouse processes and inventory accuracy procedures.
  • Good understanding of and the ability to operate in TurckConnect and SAP to perform daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of the warehouse coordinate system and material locations.
  • Pick orders using RF handheld devices in conjunction with ASRS storage and conveyor systems.
  • Manually build and stage orders using RF handheld devices.
  • Sort and route orders through verification and packing areas.
  • Verify and pack customer orders.
  • Utilize shipping carrier software to process shipments.
  • Palletize and stage orders for dock loading.
  • Operate material handling equipment as required.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Complete all required system transactions accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of the warehouse coordinate system.
  • Interpret shipment documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, and commercial invoices.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies or issues.
  • Process goods receipts in the ERP system using purchase orders, inbound deliveries, cost centers, and miscellaneous transactions.
  • Sort, label, package, and stage materials for put-away.
  • Perform material put-away using paper transfer orders and RF mobile devices.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Complete all required system transactions accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of the warehouse coordinate system.
  • Create, sort, and distribute transfer orders.
  • Pick transfer orders using paper documentation and RF mobile devices.
  • Deliver materials to the appropriate production work areas.
  • Process material returns and put away new materials.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Complete all required system transactions accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
