PURPOSE: The purpose of the Inventory Product Coordinator is to work with the purchasing team to manage inventory levels and the life cycle of stock items, sourcing special order items, and the integration of new products. This position ensures accurate and timely processing of all incoming orders and provides exceptional customer service both internally and externally, reporting to the Purchasing Manager.

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant work experience.
  • 3 years experience working in a workhouse management system.
  • 3 years of building materials, hardware, or masonry product experience.
  • Physical Inventory and cycle counting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, requiring advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage forecasting, and analyze products, specifications, ordering trends, etc to optimize inventory levels.
  • Meet supply chain objectives by daily reporting, scheduling, and resolving supply chain variances.
  • Focuses on increasing inventory turnover, and optimizing the scheduling process for improved material flow and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate quality, pricing, and delivery of materials with suppliers.
  • Vendor negotiations regarding quality, pricing, and shipment of materials.
  • Work closely and collaborate with sales and administrative teams to maintain accurate inventory information.
  • Performs inventory checks on all stock items utilizing a Warehouse Management System.
  • Performs accurate physical inventory counts and makes necessary adjustments by verification, investigation, and research of records.
  • Collaborates with vendors for lead times and pricing.
  • Communicates with suppliers to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
  • Attends industry/product-specific conferences and trade shows.
  • All other duties – Perform all other duties as assigned including carrying out responsibilities, performing duties, using skills, and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasks.
