About The Position

Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. The Leo team is looking for inventory planners to facilitate inventory management, troubleshoot real-time material issues using ERP systems, and collaborate and assist in process improvements. The ideal candidate has experience in SAP (S4/Hana) and MES systems, has an understanding of business acumen and judgment, analytical abilities, written, verbal communication skills and awareness to various cross-functional organization inter-dependencies.

Requirements

  • Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Experience with MS Office Professional Suite, including Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
  • Experience with enterprise systems including SAP, Oracle, and custom applications
  • 1+ year in supply chain, operations, warehousing, inventory control or related experience

  • Knowledge of and experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and curious to learn new skills

  • A self-starter with a proven track record of diving into unknown territory, learning new concepts, and pushing your comfort zone

Responsibilities

  • Use proprietary software and ERP systems to virtually complete inventory management tasks
  • Troubleshoot inventory and material related issues using ERP systems
  • Document system issues, process flaws and inefficiencies
  • Communicate with quality control, purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems
  • Assist in managing shortages for clear to kit availability and floor stock replenishment
  • Continuous improvement to streamline and improve results of material availability
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues
  • Exhibit a constant passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Prepare and provide data driven reviews to management
