About The Position

The Inventory Planning Supervisor is responsible for the procurement and order processing functions within YDLA to support the Caribbean and LATAM markets. Responsible for parts availability, backorder recovery, delivery precision and inventory. Additional responsibilities include managing purchase orders and managing suppliers to provide on-time product delivery. The incumbent is responsible for identifying opportunities to optimize efficiencies within the Supply Planning function through data analysis and interaction with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in supply chain, business, or another appropriate field preferred.
  • 5 or more years’ experience in Operations, Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, Logistics in distribution environment.
  • Strong understanding of multi-national operations.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (Bi-Lingual English and Spanish preferred).
  • Proficient in MS Office (i.e., Windows OS, Word, Excel and PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Experience with LATAM & Caribbean automotive or motorcycle spare parts industry, and logistics a plus.
  • General knowledge of import process and application of harmonized codes.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent decision making and analytical skills to effectively tackle issues or challenges that may occur daily.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Strong overall business knowledge with the skill to communicate with suppliers.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects and processes.
  • Ability to partner across multiple levels within the organization and provide consultation.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 10% of time.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall procurement function for parts and accessories for the LATAM and Caribbean regions.
  • Responsible for completing SCM related tasks and activities in alignment with standard operating procedures, owning issues and solving problems in collaboration with other departments to deliver measurable business results.
  • Partners with and leverages internal cross functional teams to deliver high quality and prompt customer service that is in line with customer expectations.
  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
  • Analyzes the supplier’s performance and develops and implements strategies for improvement.
  • Stays abreast of product launches and ensures adequate stock availability of parts and accessories.
  • Ensure vendor/supplier conformance to YDLA policy and procedures to eliminate any supply interruption.
