About The Position

The Inventory and Operations Analyst play a critical role in supporting global operations and ensuring seamless execution across Culp's supply chain. This position focuses on data-driven decision making, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver on-time service, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. The analyst will work closely with Design, Sales, Quality, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams, while also providing direct support to customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in international operations, supply chain, customer operations, or planning.
• Proven ability to organize, analyze, and present data clearly.
• Familiarity with international logistics, export documentation, and customs processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication; adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative, detail oriented, and solutions driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Advanced Excel skills, strong proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence platforms and a solid understanding of large datasets is preferred.
• Experience with ERP and AS400 or similar systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track orders, WIP, and shipments across the supply chain; maintain visibility to production timing versus customer requirements; escalate risks early with clear options.
• Monitor on-hand, in-transit, and aging inventory; recommend adjustments, transfers, or close-out actions to improve turns and reduce excess.
• Extract and analyze data from ERP and planning systems to produce actionable reports; translate insights into clear recommendations.
• Coordinate input from multiple internal teams to develop appropriate responses to customer's special requests and new product development needs.
• Maintain and improve SOPs, process maps, calendars, and standard work to enable consistent execution.
• Assist with new product introductions, ensuring accurate setup, timely communication, and smooth execution across internal and external partners.
• Partner with internal teams to align forecasts with inventory and stock orders, and support customer requests.
• Investigate and resolve order discrepancies promptly and accurately; provide pricing and billing support as needed to maintain customer satisfaction and financial accuracy.
• Organize and lead meetings with suppliers and customers, including agenda preparation, materials, notes, action tracking, and timely follow-through.
• Assist operations with capacity and materials planning, order sequencing, and constraint communication to protect service and cost.
• Support logistics and documentation activities including bookings, export documents, customs requirements, and shipment expediting when necessary.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams across the U.S. and global regions, plus key contacts at customer and supplier organizations.
• Communicate professionally and accurately with customers in writing and verbally; proactive and timely follow-up is required.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the overall function of the role.
