About The Position

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring an Inventory Management Support. This highly skilled and experienced support material handler has responsibilities which include shipping, packing, and receiving of product and loads, unloading, and moving materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site under minimal supervision. The role may involve rerouting urgent shipments or arranging for special delivery at the destination. The Inventory Management Support prepares and maintains records of products shipped and tracks shipments. They receive incoming materials, unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• A minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 more years of related experience and/or training.
• Experience with the use of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Package shipments internally per procedures or send to an outside packing house.
• Interface with internal departments and any external shipping services or freight companies to ensure timely shipments to customers/suppliers.
• Generate shipper and labels for shipment of hardware/materials.
• Perform a visual inspection of incoming material for physical damage.
• Analyze incoming paperwork for accuracy and receive incoming material from suppliers into the ERP system if everything is correct.
• Report discrepancies and place on the hold shelf.
• Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas such as receiving inspection.
• Secure lifting attachments to materials and convey load to destination or signal crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together.
• Lift objects by hand or with power hoist, and clean work area.
• Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
