About The Position

Responsible for the continuous supply of parts and materials to all production, assembly, and repair sections of the Grand Rapids, MI, plant. Responsible for kitting materials on the production line to ensure all parts required for orders are at the point of origination to keep the line moving at a steady pace. Ensures correct parts are kept in the appropriate quantities to support production and assembly requirements. Process, pick, and issue point‑of‑use and Kanban materials to all production areas. Expedite and move production parts; pick parts for point of use and Kanban; address shortages and urgent issues affecting production. Complete cycle counts. Unpack all materials moving to the production floor inside the stockroom, ensuring cardboard, packing materials, and other debris remain off the plant floor. Maintain accurate inventory within stockroom and floor locations by addressing discrepancies, shortages, and location errors in collaboration with stockroom employees and cross‑functional partners. Maintain and update point‑of‑use, Kanban, and BIN locations within SAP. Perform accurate inventory transactions in SAP, including goods movements, transfers, adjustments, and confirmations to maintain system accuracy. Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory as required. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment; function with minimal direction and take ownership of responsibilities supporting all production lines. Participate in continuous improvement, 5S, and Lean initiatives to improve material flow, reduce waste, and improve inventory accuracy. Maintain traceability and lot control requirements for materials where applicable, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Knowledge of safe material handling practices and ability to maintain compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety policies and procedures related to material handling. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 to 4 years of prior stockroom experience.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and consistent attendance.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
