This is an Inventory Management Support position responsible for controlling and managing activities related to inventory control within the shipping and order fulfillment teams. The role involves establishing and modifying operational methods and procedures/training material, troubleshooting and rectifying discrepancies, and assisting Supply Chain and Business Planning with system flow to ensure consistencies in understanding and look for process improvements. The position requires performing physical or administrative tasks supporting the receiving, storing, picking, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, while adhering to workplace safety standards and regulations.

  • Perform physical or administrative tasks supporting the receiving, storing, picking, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
  • Lift heavy items and operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts upon receipt of internal certification.
  • Keep accurate records of inventory levels, organize stock in the warehouse, and perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Store materials in an organized manner within a warehouse or storage facility.
  • Complete paperwork or digital records related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Work with other team members and departments to ensure the smooth flow of materials through the supply chain.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing work areas and disposing of waste properly.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in shipments or inventory and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Manage and oversee all export activities to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in export regulations, including customs, tariffs, and trade agreements.
  • Provide expert guidance on battery regulations, including safety standards, transportation, and disposal requirements.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and industry groups to stay informed about the latest developments in battery regulations.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for export shipments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to export activities and battery compliance, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Train and educate internal teams on export procedures and battery regulations to ensure company-wide compliance.
  • Liaise with logistics providers, customs brokers, and government agencies to facilitate smooth and compliant export processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure proper labeling and packaging of battery products according to international standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of export transactions and compliance activities for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 years of prior relevant inventory experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 2 years of prior related inventory experience.
  • CPIM / CLTD Certification through APICS or equivalent is desired.
  • Proven experience in operations management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
