About The Position

This is an Inventory Management position at Blue Grass Army Depot, KY. The role involves conducting projects and studies related to the execution of quality control programs for inventory control and receipts functions. The position requires reviewing adjustments to records for accuracy and completeness, participating in planning and determining current and future supply requirements, and providing assistance for lower graded personnel.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position is Non-Critical Sensitive (2) requiring a Secret security clearance; the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • This is a testing designated position requiring personnel to sign DA Form 5019-R.
  • Personnel must pass drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing thereafter.
  • This position requires lifting of at least 30 lbs.
  • This position requires a pre-employment physical, and annually thereafter.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in inventory operations tasks such as monitoring inventory record systems for accuracy.
  • Ability to recommend corrective actions for inventory discrepancies.
  • Experience assisting management with developing inventory management policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts projects and studies related to the execution of the quality control programs for inventory control and receipts functions.
  • Reviews adjustments to records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participates in planning and determining current and future supply requirements to meet customer needs for items of low and medium monetary value.
  • Provides assistance for lower graded personnel.
  • Communicates assignments and timelines to team members for completion.
  • Participates in systems analyses of programs and problems associated with supply systems.
  • Analyzes rejected transactions to determine systemic causes.
