About The Position

RBCI is seeking a Inventory Management Specialist to provide the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC) with a broad range of supply chain and logistics functions in a warehouse environment. This work is onsite at the Williamsburg, VA office. This position is contingent upon contract award. (Military Veterans are highly encouraged to apply)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment, performing the following duties: receiving, quality control, inventorying, storing, issuing, packaging, shipping, processing returns, or shelf-life management.
  • Must have the ability to perform various duties within the logistical chain management system, to include receiving, inspecting, locating, storing, rotating (first in-first out), safekeeping, issuing, preparing, shipping, material return, and disposal of materiel and equipment. With the goal to ensure accuracy and operational effectiveness.
  • 5.5.5.1.Required Skills and Certifications – A valid driver's license to drive up to a 1.5-ton stake bed truck and 4-6K forklifts for the delivery of medical equipment, supplies, and furniture.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse and logistics operations, including receiving, inspecting, inventorying, storing, issuing, packaging, shipping, processing returns, and managing shelf‑life items to support operational requirements.
  • Execute logistical chain management tasks to ensure accurate handling of materiel and equipment from receipt through final disposition.
  • Receive and inspect incoming materiel to verify condition, quantities, and documentation, and ensure proper recording within inventory or logistics systems.
  • Locate, store, and safeguard materiel in accordance with established warehousing procedures and storage management plans.
  • Rotate stock using first‑in/first-out (FIFO) principles to maintain shelf‑life integrity and prevent material expiration.
  • Issue, prepare, package, and ship medical equipment, supplies, and furniture in support of customer and mission requirements.
  • Process material returns and disposal actions in accordance with established procedures and regulatory guidance.
  • Operate material handling equipment and delivery vehicles to move, stage, load, and unload materiel safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to inventory transactions, shipments, returns, and shelf‑life management.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management in support of warehouse and logistics operations.
