About The Position
This position serves as a Property Manager in the Material Management Division of the Logistics Service in the VA Health Care System responsible for the inventory and lifecycle management of all expendable equipment in the assigned area(s). Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm In addition to the assigned tour of duty, an assigned rotation for On-Call and Disaster Schedule for Essential Personnel may be required to meet minimum staffing requirements and service needs. Responsibilities
- Coordinates with property managers for disposal of surplus or excess supplies.
- Administers an expendable inventory management program.
- Performs analytical work to manage, regulate, coordinate and exercise control over expendable supplies.
- Advises and informs stakeholders concerning the management, control and accountability of expendable items in use.
- Search for and research information.
- Researches and develops solutions to complex and routine problems.
- Ability to use bar code scanning equipment and appropriate tagging equipment for inventory control purposes.
