About The Position

The Inventory Management Specialist (IMS) at MSC Industrial Supply Co. is responsible for implementing various inventory management solutions to enhance customer experience and drive sales growth. This role involves collaboration with sales teams, installation of solutions, data collection, and providing post-install support, all while adhering to service level agreements and promoting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• An Associates' Degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
• Minimum two (2) years supporting value-added customer solutions/inventory management programs is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software preferred.
• Knowledge of MSC-like product lines/services & MSC related experience is required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of general sales experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a similar role within the industrial supply sector.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with all MSC Sales Teams to enable explosive sales growth through Solutions.
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of all MSC solutions including bar coded solutions, Vending, and Crib Software.
• Follows all required Salesforce protocols for project and time management.
• Drives proficiencies in solutions discovery, recommendations, installations, and post-install support.
• Adheres to service level agreements to consistently deliver best-in-class results.
• Provides feedback to management for continuous process improvement.
• Represents MSC Solutions at branch meetings and fosters partnerships with sales associates.
• Supports designated team goals and objectives.
• Follows all MSC policies and procedures documented in the associate handbook.
• Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
