Inventory/Logistics Specialist II

Charm IndustrialFort Lupton, CO

About The Position

We're looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Inventory Specialist to keep our hardware development activities running smoothly as we scale new pyrolysis and injection system designs from development to fabrication to final operational deployment. In this role, you'll be the connective tissue between our design engineering, procurement, and engineering technician teams, making sure the right parts are in the right place at the right time. From receiving and unpacking incoming hardware to kitting assemblies using bills of material (BOMs) and engineering drawings, you'll play a direct role in supporting fast-moving engineering development cycles and robust design-build-test iteration projects. This is a great fit for someone who takes pride in organization, isn't afraid to get their hands dirty, and is always thinking about how to do things better. This role will report to our Engineering Technical Program Manager based out of Fort Lupton, Colorado. Someone successful in this role will enjoy bringing new designs to life and helping to test and commission their new equipment. This person takes pride in delivering robust mechanical solutions that work in the real world, and loves stepping through the root cause analysis process when systems are not performing as intended. This person also takes an analytical approach to problem solving and is not afraid to step out of their comfort zone when tackling new problems. A great attitude in the face of difficult and fast-paced environments is a must!

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing, hardware, or production environment, warehouse, kitting, receiving, material handing, or similar roles
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting BOMs and engineering drawings, including designs that are actively changing
  • Proficiency with digital tools such as Jira, NetSuite (ERP), PunchOut, CAD platforms, and MES environments; quick to learn new software as needed
  • Strong attention to detail; you catch what others miss, and you stay oriented when part numbers and revisions change frequently
  • Clear communicator, both in person and in writing (Slack, email, etc.)
  • Proactive and resourceful: you notice gaps in the process and speak up with solutions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time and move hardware components as part of daily work; comfortable on your feet in a production environment
  • A team player who can work fluidly across functions and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced development environment
  • A proactive, professional and “can do” attitude
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl in awkward spaces. There may be prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • An excitement for helping create systems to positively impact climate change!

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting engineering development or prototyping
  • Experience operating forklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, and/or a willingness to learn
  • Experience supporting hardware development in energy, industrial equipment, aerospace, or similar capital-intensive industries
  • Familiarity with lean inventory principles or 5S practices
  • Exposure to engineering change order (ECO) processes and revision-controlled BOMs
  • Experience using Slack or other real-time collaboration tools in an operational setting

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and unpack incoming hardware shipments, verifying quantities and condition against purchase orders and packing lists
  • Build fabrication and assembly kits by interpreting bills of material (BOMs) and engineering drawings with accuracy and care, supporting active development builds for pyrolysis and injection systems
  • Communicate regarding design and technical topics with Engineering personnel
  • Move hardware and components across the production campus to ensure workstations and assembly areas are continuously replenished
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, flagging discrepancies and shortages proactively, especially as BOMs and designs evolve during development
  • Use PunchOut procurement workflows to support purchasing coordination with the Procurement team
  • Reference CAD platforms to interpret engineering drawings when building kits and verifying hardware specifications
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations teams to prioritize kitting needs, support development milestones, and resolve part availability issues
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with stakeholders via in-person coordination and digital tools (including Slack)
  • Identify and propose improvements to inventory flow, kitting processes, and parts storage as our hardware designs and production volumes evolve, we want to implement your ideas, not just your effort!
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventory audits as needed

Benefits

  • Stock options
  • Health benefits (medical, dental, vision)
  • Traditional and Roth 401(k) with a 50% match on contributions up to 6%
  • Paid time off, including parental leave
