About The Position

Iteris is looking for an Inventory & Logistics Lead who will prioritize the flow of incoming and outgoing of material & finished goods and moved to prospective inventory location. The ideal candidate will also prioritize stockroom, inventory control and transportation functions. They will train, monitor employee KPI's and review with Manager as required. This person will work with the manager on work schedules, reporting monthly data required and continuous improvements. He/she must be a detail-oriented person with a "can do" attitude and tenacity to resolve challenges that impact company goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • High School degree or general education degree (GED)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required; a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Over five (5) years' working in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Experience with implementation of lean manufacturing process (5S, SQDEC, Six Sigma), problem solving methodologies and continuous improvement methods
  • Ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving, some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds)

Responsibilities

  • Delegation of daily priorities based on production schedules, operations requirements and other duties assigned by Manager
  • Interface with other department leads and/or managers on work orders or kit shortages that could impact production support
  • Coordinate daily cycle counts, ensure minimum counts are completed, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Coordination of year end physical inventory
  • Analyzing logistical problems and producing solutions
  • Review E&O material and propose recommendations to sell, return to stock or scrap
  • Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs
  • Participate in the resolution and tracking of problems/corrective action as assigned by the Manager
  • Participate in cross functional team meetings and communicate any updates to staff and/or manager
  • Ensure timely month end close by validating all transactions for receiving and shipping are completed for incoming and outgoing materials, finished goods, expense materials
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities
  • Prioritize receiving material flow in a timely manner
  • Develops and implements procedures / policies within area managed
  • Interface with appropriate departments when necessary to resolve receiving issues found in house.
  • Perform other functions as may be assigned by Manager
