About The Position

Primarily responsible for assuring all procedures are followed in achieving the highest level of productivity in the most cost-efficient manner possible while still maintaining customer specifications. Direct and lead a team of employees ensuring compliance with all food safety programs and enforcing Shenandoah Valley Organic policies. Responsible for employees' performance development safety and work schedule.

Requirements

Weekends are mandatory.
Will partner with Shipping managers during the weekend.
Excellent attendance is required of all applicants.
The person selected must know or be willing to learn all the jobs in the department.
Basic math and reading skills.
Ability to do paperwork as needed.
Proven performance and positive attitude.
Ability to occasionally lift 70 pounds.
Other Job Duties as needed.

Responsibilities

Will oversee Acorn facility to ensure inventory is being perform on nights.
Trailer checks during nights will have to take a cooler guard to prevent any safety hazard.
Assist Supervisor/Management to ensure morning inventory is 100% accurate.
Perform constant inventory checks and validations.
Maintain open communication with production regarding missing labels.
Record all missing finished cases real time during physical inventory and continue with second shift for better tracking.
Fill in as needed at any position to ensure a consistent product flow.
Assist Supervisor with Production paperwork as needed.
Respond to USDA inspectors and their concerns in a timely and correct manner.
Help train new team members and monitor their performance.
Perform production checks to ensure the department is performing to standards.
Assist other supervisors and managers with issues in other departments in the plant.
