About The Position

Your role at New Balance as an Inventory Financial Analyst within the Finance group is to ensure invoices get matched to purchase order receipts so that they can be processed for payment. You will also ensure invoices are processed on a timely basis to avoid becoming past due, plan and manage retail store physical inventories, help ensure accuracy of retail store on hand inventory, become an 'inventory expert', and assist with month end close responsibilities.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional and confident with an ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in retail merchandising software such as Aptos is a plus.
  • Familiarity with D365 also desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily invoice batch matching process to bulk match retail store invoices from New Balance Wholesale and 3rd party vendors.
  • Investigate older, unmatched invoices, determine cause and work to get them matched to purchase order receipts so that they can be processed for payment.
  • Work diligently to prevent invoices from becoming past-due for payment.
  • Run weekly/monthly report to give Retail Store Managers visibility to invoices that are not matched to purchase order receipts due to receiving issues.
  • Complete and finalize retail store physical inventories.
  • Assist retail store associates with receiving/inventory issues.
  • Detect areas of concern that could have a negative impact on a store's on-hand inventory.
