The role of an Inventory & Distribution Intern: This internship is a unique blend between Cinemark’s Food & Beverage and Operations teams, focused on reducing waste, improving inventory accuracy, and optimizing performance within our Hot Foods and Popcorn categories. You will work directly with the Director of F&B Inventory & Distribution and collaborate with F&B Category Teams, F&B Ops, Finance, and field leadership to uncover insights that improve cost efficiency and guest experience. You will support the rollout of improved waste‑tracking tools and performance dashboards, help theatre leaders interpret reporting, and contribute to ongoing improvements that drive measurable results.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Hospitality, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; familiarity with PowerBI is a plus.
  • Ability to clearly communicate insights to both corporate and field audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative, curious, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work both independently and in cross‑functional team settings.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze key Hot Foods & Popcorn metrics in PowerBI, including incidence, per cap, waste, and emerging KPIs.
  • Identify high‑ and low‑performing theatres and highlight performance drivers and opportunities.
  • Support the integration of Crunchtime waste data into PowerBI dashboards.
  • Translate complex data into clear visualizations, summaries, and recommendations.
  • Partner with Theatre GMs, Operations leaders, and Regional VPs by answering questions about new F&B dashboards, results, and KPIs.
  • Gather field insights to help update processes and shape best practices.
  • Support the rollout and adoption of new Hot Foods reporting tools across theatres.
  • Assist with updating Hot Foods/Popcorn training materials as needed.
  • Participate in occasional local theatre visits to observe real‑world operations.
