About The Position

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting the efficient flow of raw materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all inventory movements are properly tracked, documented, and reported to support production schedules, order fulfillment, and overall business operations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Relevant experience in inventory management within a warehouse or production role is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and stay focused.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, GP, and ASCTrac preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow standardized work procedures.
  • Basic math skills (counting, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant experience in inventory management within a warehouse or production role is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, GP, and ASCTrac preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the Core Values of Comfort Research in daily actions, execution of tasks, and interactions with others.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials (fabric, beads, zippers, etc.), work-in-progress, and finished bean bag products.
  • Perform daily cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate root causes of variances.
  • Record inventory transactions in the ERP/MRP or warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Support production by issuing and tracking materials needed for manufacturing.
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, ensuring correct quantities and quality standards.
  • Assist in organizing and labeling inventory to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Work with shipping and receiving teams to ensure accurate documentation of inbound and outbound orders.
  • Generate inventory reports and provide updates to supervisors and management as needed.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual physical inventories.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies in all warehouse and inventory activities.
  • Support the Production team in shared goals and initiatives.
