About The Position

The warranty lab, dedicated to vehicle electronics such as modules, displays, and radios, is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to manage the influx of parts. This role involves unpacking boxes, scanning parts, stacking shelves, and documenting issues with parts using MS Word and Excel. The lab receives defective parts from dealerships for engineers to triage and test, with fixable parts being sent for refurbishment. The role is integral to maintaining the organization and efficiency of the lab's operations.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in inventory control and management.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
  • Ability to perform cycle counts and manage data entry.
  • Competence in using SAP and handling materials.
  • Comfortable with basic computer tasks, including email, spreadsheets, and data entry.
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized processes.
  • Ability to lift and move packages up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deliverables.
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound shipments and verify contents against packing slips.
  • Safely unbox parts and dispose of packaging materials.
  • Label parts and organize incoming materials for check-in.
  • Check parts into internal trackers using Excel-based trackers, databases, or other inventory systems.
  • Maintain accurate part identification, including serial numbers, part numbers, and VIN association.
  • Sort, store, and rotate parts on shelves/cabinets using established lab organization standards.
  • Prepare tested parts for return shipment, pack components securely, include required paperwork, and stage outbound shipments.
  • Coordinate shipments with internal shipping department, ensuring labels, tracking numbers, and shipment documentation are accurate.
