Job Summary: The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for verifying, tracking, and documenting all laboratory supplies, reagents, and materials. This role ensures accurate inventory control, proper storage, and compliance with internal procedures and safety standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, inventory control, or a related role
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment with sensitive materials (no direct handling of samples)
  • Experience with inventory management systems such as Fishbowl or QuickBooks
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory accounts for freezer units and all associated storage areas
  • Perform routine cycle counts and internal inventory audits on a weekly basis or as assigned
  • Accurately label, organize, and store materials in designated locations
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper documentation of all incoming and outgoing items
  • Report discrepancies, damages, or missing inventory to the Inventory Manager and Purchasing Department
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant receiving and storage area
  • Coordinate and distribute materials to internal departments as needed
  • Support inventory tracking and documentation processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
