This position is responsible for all assigned tasks relating to inventory control, including maintaining inventory counts and communicating inventory needs and status to the warehouse leadership team. Schedule all inbound/outbound finished goods trucks. Work closely with customer service, traffic, and CPU carriers to ensure timely arrival and departure of trucks. Maintains inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs. Performs physical inventory count (cycle count) and reconciles inventory on a daily basis. Assists in developing solutions to shortages, overages and inventory discrepancies. Compiles, verifies, and reports periodic statistical information to management regarding trends in customer escalations as related to inventory. Assists in compiling data related to special projects, as requested by supervisor. Applies and ensures compliance with inventory processes and procedures. Effectively and promptly communicate (both verbally and electronic) all applicable inventory concerns, special considerations supervisor. Support internal/external audits. Ensure that all system transactions are accurately and timely to reflect correct inventory position at any time. This includes shipments, resupply inventory, donations, product loss and damage.

Requirements

  • Preferred, 2-year degree in logistics or inventory management.
  • Three-years in a clerical role, directly in a warehouse, logistics, transportation or distribution center environment.
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced experience with word processing, spreadsheet applications and specialized inventory control software programs (WMS), SAP preferred.
  • Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as inventory reports and operating procedures.
  • Safely operate a lift truck.
  • Ability to generate reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized and efficient.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent mathematical skills.
