About The Position
The Clinical Diagnostics Support/Inventory Coordinator plays a crucial role in the CDL CAP/CLIA accredited laboratory, which is dedicated to ensuring high quality, efficient, and reliable clinical trial results. Lab accreditation is vital as it guarantees compliance with CAP's rigorous standards, adherence to best laboratory practices, and a focus on continuous improvement. These elements underscore CDL's commitment to achieving and maintaining excellence in laboratory medicine. An important aspect of CAP/CLIA regulations is ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results. The position of Clinical Diagnostics Support/Inventory Coordinator is responsible for (1) maintaining accurate laboratory reagent and supply inventory, (2) pipette maintenance, including performing pipette verifications, recording results in laboratory notebooks, entering pipette data into the Global Maintenance and Reliability System, and writing deviation and investigation reports for pipette failures, (3) buffer preparation, and (4) routine equipment maintenance. The role is expected to have a high level of client interaction with a focus on supporting highly regulated clinical research with an emphasis on attention to detail. To comply with the laboratory's regulations, this position will complete an annual competency assessment.
