DESCRIPTION: As an Inventory Coordinator II, you'll contribute to global healthcare, research, and safety at Thermo Fisher Scientific. You'll manage sophisticated inventory systems and ensure seamless laboratory operations, handling materials that support cancer research, environmental protection, and food safety initiatives. This position offers experience with advanced inventory management systems and opportunities to implement process improvements that support our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this role, you'll manage inventory operations including receiving, tracking, and distributing materials while maintaining precise documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance. You'll coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels, resolve discrepancies, and implement best practices for material handling and storage. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will be essential in maintaining our high standards for quality and customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year inventory control or warehouse experience required
  • Proficiency in ERP/inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for investigating discrepancies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with RF scanners and data entry systems
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 30-50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to work in various temperature environments (-30°C to 25°C)
  • Knowledge of GMP and safety protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Valid driver's license may be required
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed
  • Experience with FIFO methodology
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation
  • Must be able to wear required PPE including lab coats, safety glasses, and other protective equipment

  • Forklift and powered industrial equipment certification preferred
