About The Position

The position involves operating various types of lift trucks, including walkie, stand-up reach, stand-up counter-balanced, and stock picker lift trucks, ensuring safety and compliance with operational standards. The role requires completing a Daily Operator's Checklist for the lift trucks used during each shift and inspecting for any signs of pest activity, contamination, damage, or odors in the work environment. Maintaining cleanliness and order in equipment and storage zones through general housekeeping practices is essential. The operator will also be responsible for accurately recording all material movements using RF scanning and paper documentation, delivering materials to production lines based on FIFO and specific material requirements, and ensuring proper supply levels to prevent downtime due to material outages. Additionally, the role includes cleaning and inspecting materials returned from production before restocking them, ensuring compliance with labeling and sanitation requirements. Other relevant duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• General knowledge and use of basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Ability to work in cold conditions.
• Basic communications skills; bi-lingual skills preferred.
• Organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate walkie, stand-up reach, stand-up counter-balanced, and stock picker lift trucks safely.
• Complete Daily Operator's Checklist for lift trucks used each shift.
• Inspect for signs of pest activity, contamination, damage, or odors.
• Maintain equipment and storage zones in clean order with general housekeeping, sweeping, and light scrubbing.
• Accurately record all material movements via RF scanning and paper documentation.
• Deliver materials to production lines and areas based on FIFO, age, and specific material requirements of specific product formulas.
• Accurately count materials.
• Maintain proper supply of materials to prevent downtime due to material outages.
• Clean and inspect materials being returned from production before returning materials to storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and sanitation requirements are met.
• Perform all other relevant duties as assigned.
