About The Position

Duties and Responsibilities:¬ • Correctly completing location and cycle counts. Handle special projects through completion. • Maintain box aisle. • Accurately perform location counts daily. • Find any missing material. Provide extensive research and explanation on any material not found. • Print, run query and count material for the SAP cycle count • Keep warehouse organized. • Re-barcode boxes and maintains condition report of box aisle. • Complete special projects as needed. • Check the barcodes for accuracy. • Assist Order Picker/handler when time permits. • Move barcoded racks and barcoded boxes from the barcode office to their locations and enter them into the computer inventory using our barcode equipment. • Initiates investigations into cause of damages or shortages of finished products for freight or insurance. • Conducts periodic inventory audits and reconciles physical counts. • All other duties as assigned. Skills: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Dependable and punctual • Good planning skills and detail oriented • Understanding of complex systems • Ability to act independently • Sense of urgency, ability to maintain accuracy and multitask. • Drive and initiative. • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations. • Basic mathematical skills Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent required • Proficient computer skills required • At least 5 years' experience in warehouse operations with inventory handling preferred • Ability to obtain forklift and crane certification Organizational Relationship: • Reports directly to Shipping Supervisor • Collaborates with all departments Working Conditions: • Ability to work extended hours as business needs dictate • Must be able to move objects up to 50 pounds • Ability to ascend or descend ladders and stairs and the like • Ability to stand, sit, walk, push, pull for extended periods of time, occasionally kneeling and bending
