About The Position
As part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, the Inventory Control Technician 1 plays a crucial role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position is integral to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. The technician will be responsible for the correct breakdown of clinical returns following randomizations, adhering to standard operating procedures, and following group leader instructions to ensure compliance with customer specifications and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to follow written instructions accurately. The technician will also be involved in the reconciliation of return drug supplies as stipulated in protocol-specific Accountability Instructions. The work environment for this position includes exposure to cold rooms and freezers, with temperatures reaching as low as -22 degrees Fahrenheit. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and lab coats will be required to ensure safety while performing duties. The technician must be able to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance and may occasionally need to lift heavier items, up to 70 pounds. The role may also require working overtime and weekends to meet business needs and demands, reflecting the dynamic nature of our operations.
