About The Position

The Inventory Control Team Lead oversees inventory, mailroom, shipping operations, and the Fulfillment/Shipping Coordinator, as well as management of a 3rd Party Fulfillment vendor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform and/or monitor laboratory supply replenishment for multiple locations Monitor inventory levels and provide feedback to the purchasing team with recommendations Monitor inventory levels, shipping and fulfillment practices and provide feedback to the 3 rd Party fulfillment vendor with recommendations Maintain inventory accuracy and detailed reporting through the process of cycle counting If full physical inventory is required, would direct all activities and scheduling in accordance with best audit practices Conduct team member training, development and scheduling for direct reports Monitor, report and offer guidance on team performance and conduct timely performance evaluations in accordance with corporate guidelines Responsible for accurate item master and picking sequence in ERP system Establish Standard Operating Procedures, create documentation and ensure application by the inventory and mailroom/shipping team Approve and/or enter inventory adjustments in compliance with policy Maintain SDS records for supply room and ensure safety compliance Assist with all duties of the Inventory Control Assistant, Receiving Coordinator and Fulfillment/Shipping Coordinator as necessary and support initiatives as directed by the Senior Manager, Materials Management, VP of Supply Chain Management, and company Responsible for warehouse mailroom and shipping/receiving processes and procedures High level of focus on accuracy, efficiency, organization, cost-effective measures, and detail oriented Responsible for managing 3 rd Party fulfillment vendor inventory, packaging, and shipping practices May perform hazardous waste activities such as handling, disposal, moving waste drums/containers, and signing hazardous waste manifests; initial and annual RCRA training is required to perform hazardous waste management tasks Successful Candidates Must Possess: High school diploma or GED required; continuing education and/or inventory certification preferred A minimum of four (4) years of experience in inventory control and/or shipping and receiving required Experience using an ERP system or computerized inventory tracking system required (Sage 300 ERP experience a plus) Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook required Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment Must have and maintain forklift/pallet lift certification

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Experience using an ERP system or computerized inventory tracking system required
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook required
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have and maintain forklift/pallet lift certification

Nice To Haves

  • Continuing education and/or inventory certification preferred
  • Sage 300 ERP experience a plus
  • Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred
