The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for evaluating inventory needs and implementing strategies to meet those needs. This role involves establishing and publishing inventory schedules, coordinating with warehouse supervisors, and providing analysis and statistics on inventory counts and quality audits. The supervisor will also interact with team members to identify trends and ensure compliance with inventory quality control requirements.

  • Evaluate inventory needs and implement strategies to meet those needs.
  • Establish and publish weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
  • Communicate and coordinate inventory schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily.
  • Provide daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audits results.
  • Conduct spot audits on unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and document results in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Interact with supervisors to identify trends, processes, or personnel requiring corrective action.
  • Read and respond to all emails in a timely fashion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 3 or more years of related work experience.
  • 2 years supervisory experience.
  • 3 or more years of industry-related experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build a team and establish processes.
  • Excellent audit skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Thorough knowledge of operational business and inventory quality control requirements.
  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.
