About The Position

Inventory control specialists oversee the flow of inventory into and out of a warehouse, from ordering, storage, maintenance, loading and shipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a customer service, sales and/or transportation industry required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of forklift experience required.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Operates with a customer service mentality.
• Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility and patience.
• Ability to achieve margins as stated in the current business plan.
• Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Self-starter and highly motivated.
• Ability to sufficiently read, speak, and write English in order to understand and give directions, and to complete paperwork accurately.
• Ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment as dictated by the duties of the job and perform data entry and typing functions.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining records of all inventory
• Compiling inventory reports and issuing them to management
• Supporting shipping prep and loading
• Investigating inventory shortages and discrepancies
• Posting weights and shipping charges
• Working with sales reps, customers and other members of the warehouse, as necessary
• Other duties as assigned
