Requirements

  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Logistics, Business Administration, or similar field of study
  • Between 1-3 years of experience in inventory control position
  • of experience in Computer Skills Desired: Advanced Excel skills, including: create spreadsheets, pivot tables and charts, use and write formulas and functions, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, use sort, filter, and other data analysis functions
  • Familiar with SAP and EDI programs is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels, control the outflow and inflow of inventory
  • Record purchases, maintain database, and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports
  • Develop inventory process enhancements, investigate daily inventory issues and determine resolution
  • Lead the annual inventory process in collaboration with accounting
  • Assists in developing and initiating control policies and procedures and in planning activities that relate to inventory control in the organization.
  • Monitor first expired, first out (FEFO) inventory management method for perishable good is maintained across distribution center
  • Analyze inventory statistics to determine which products are selling the most and which are under-performing, analyzing weeks on hand for individual stock keeping unit (sku)
  • Process and document returns as required following established procedures
  • Tracks inventory maintenance and keeps management up to date regarding inventory inflow and outflow; compiles inventory information and presents it to management with recommendations for effective decision making, which may include the need for restock or for quick resolution of issues.
  • Support management in training department personnel, scheduling work assignments, and monitoring quality controls
