About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Supports the Districts and Customers by ensuring necessary parts and tools are available when needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Abides by all Oil States Energy Services, LLC Safety and Operational Policies and Procedures. Develops effective system for inventory management and product delivery. Manage and responsible for all inventory in secure parts room. Maintain daily logs of inventory items used; issue out of JDE used items and receipt into JDE items received from the Warehouse or other districts daily. Setup and maintain parts and tools on shelves as required for efficient and timely retrieval for use and tracking of items. Performs physical inventories daily. Performs complete monthly inventory cycle counts sent out by the inventory group on the 1 st of each month. Reviews and monitor the timely confirmation and accuracy of inbound inventory and outbound shipments. Generate reports to maintain adequate inventory levels. Restock new/recoated parts as needed. Responsible for sending parts out for recoating as necessary. Maintains logs for tracking number of times parts are recoated. Communicating and coordinating with admins, for the JDE PO# process for ordering and for inputting and receiving of equipment. Operates heavy equipment including a forklift, and overhead crane. Report, reconcile and research inventory discrepancy issues. Keeps inventory room and equipment clean and organized by performing basic housekeeping and maintenance duties. Follow up on parts and tools to ensure delivery as required. Perform monthly in house audit with District Manager or designated person, or with inventory group associate upon unannounced visit, as a control measure. Work with specific Product line manager to make sure all parts being ordered are correct drawings and revisions. Using correct approved vendors for needed parts. Informs Operation Manager of damaged parts, no mtr’s received, did not meet scheduled delivery, or nonconformance product/vendor for inputting information into TRAQ. Work with management to find solution for slow moving inventory. Transfer parts to other Districts utilizing RTMS. Other duties as assigned. Inventory Control Specialist II Requesting quotes from multiple vendors to compare cost, quality, and availability. Inventory Control Specialist III May attend Vendor meetings as representative of the company. Requesting quotes from multiple vendors to compare cost, quality, and availability. May supervisor additional inventory control positions.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must have mechanical abilities.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram forms.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must successfully pass pre-and post-employment drug and alcohol tests per company policy.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Warehouse/inventory control experience.
  • Strong PC skills must include Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office.
  • Basic math and analytical skills
  • Must maintain a safe driving record as required by company policy.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
  • Excellent math, reading communication (both verbal and written), and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires standing, walking, and the use of hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Also requires pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, carrying, sitting, climbing, balancing, reaching with hands and arms, for extended periods of time each day.
  • Requires safety glasses and steel toe boots to be worn at all times.
  • Requires exposure to warm, hot, and cold temperatures.
  • Requires exposure to moderate noise levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with JDE is a plus.
  • Versatility in all OSES product lines
  • One plus years’ experience in oilfield work or related field.
  • One year warehouse/inventory control experience
  • 3 years warehouse/inventory control experience.
